The family business
A van, a loan and a start in 1972
Roger and Margaret Wheildon founded R & M Wheildon Ltd, trading as Wheildon’s, in 1972. A £500 loan for a company van and the guarantee of a few weeks of plumbing and heating work gave the business its beginning.
Today, Wheildons brings together heating, plumbing and renewable energy services for domestic and commercial customers. That breadth covers everything from general plumbing to boiler installations, bathrooms and heat pumps.
